April Showers Bring May Flowers!

What's the saying? April showers bring May flowers! Never a truer statement when it comes to our Master Gardeners' annual Blooms and Barrels Sale. We have over 1,600 plants and your name could be on some of them. Would love to see you all on April 10th! (Chrissy, this would be a fun birthday trip for you and your sweet Mama, hint hint!) Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and there is always a crowd waiting to get in. See the attached flyers for sale info and a list of plants for sale.

Digging in the soil and planting plants is such good therapy. I can't wait to get started! It's best to wait till after the first weekend in April to “deadhead” plants. This allows the roots to be protect from more possible freezes.

Spring is the beginning of new life in so many ways. New baby animals are born, new blooms on flowering plants, new plants emerging from the earth, renewed spirits awaken and the greatest gift of all is celebrated, Our Risen Savior! What are you looking forward to this spring?
