Well, here we are already in July. We flew through June, as it was a busy month.

The sisters four met at our ranchette the first weekend of June. Robin came a day early to help shop for groceries. Angie arrived the next day around noon with Juli not far behind her. Robin brought river stones to paint for Momz's garden, which we will soon be adding to Popz's garden at the EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens. It was fun sitting out at the Party Hut painting and visiting. There are some talented artists in our family, as you can see in the pictures of the painted rocks.

We started our first morning together with a Mimosa toast to sisterhood and then enjoyed a breakfast of Monkey Bread (made by Robin), fresh fruits and, of course, our Mimosas.

Robin brought a box of Fredericksburg peaches. We decided to have biscuits and sweet peaches for breakfast one morning. So, I cut up a bunch of peaches and we enjoyed them with hot biscuits has we reminisced about when Momz made this for us as kids. They were so good. We had several peaches left and I was worried they were going bad so I made a peach cobbler, which didn't last long.

The weekend was filled with lots of love, sharing and reminiscing of childhood memories. Our next gathering is planned for September back at our ranchette, as there are things we didn't get to do while they were here.

Larry and I celebrated our 47th Anniversary with lunch at Mamacitas and then floating in the pool and a few toddies.

One of my favorite memories of us dating was shooting our BB Guns that Momz gave us for Christmas. We would sit on the fence around the horse pen, out at Larry’s house, and shoot birds out of the trees. One of Larry's favorite memories was him trying to teach me to drive his car that had a stick shift. I still don't drive a standard vehicle very well. We sure are blessed with a beautiful family and love to last a lifetime!

Things aren't always happy and losing Larry's brother, Karl, has been a very sad time. He was a great ‘big brother’ who worshiped his baby brother. We will cherish all the fun times we had together with him and Mida. His funeral service was very nice and the reception at the winery was a good time of fellowship with our loved ones and friends. Cherish your loved ones and let them know how much you care for them.

July is going to be a busy month as well. Preparation is underway for Mimi Camp. Ava designed the camp tee shirt after all the kids decided on the theme, “Christmas in July.” Activities will be Christmas related. Stay tuned for pictures and more news after camp is over.
