Happy Birthday to ME!

May is an important month. Not only is it my birthday month and that of two of our grandkids, it's also the month our beautiful Mother is celebrated. What a perfect time for flowers to be blooming. When I see the beautiful blooms it reminds me of the beauty in our Mother's (Momz's) face. Thank you Mama for the Christian example you have been to us all. We are truly blessed to call you Mother! God has blessed us with many wonderful years with you.

As I mentioned above, flowers are blooming and spring is in the air. We started planting on Monday and finished on Tuesday of this week. I potted over 40 plants and Larry planted approximately 10 in the flower beds for me. He had already planted several plants the previous week. We are now praying for rain.

Our Master Gardeners plant sale was a huge success. We sold out in about an hour and a half. People were lined up for about two blocks waiting to get in. When the doors opened, they ran to the tables with plants on them. It looked very empty of plants in the first 30 minutes. Angie and Stephanie came and were able to purchase a few plants. Afterwards, Angie, Stephanie, Mida and I went to eat lunch at the Wild Ass Hey Barn. When our food was ready, the donkey brayed. It is a fun and interesting place to eat. The food is always good.

Larry and I will each have laser surgery on one of our eyes next week for protein buildup behind the lenses we had inserted during our cataract surgery. We will have the other eye done the next week. It only takes a couple of minutes per eye. We are hoping it will help with the blurring.
